Welcome to the Center for Understanding and Treating Anxiety (CUTA) website at San Diego State University. CUTA is located in the Alvarado Medical Center, just east of the SDSU campus.

Our Clinic

We specialize in the diagnosis, evaluation, and comprehensive treatment of anxiety disorders, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, social phobia, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Our therapists use the most current research on treatment and assessment in order to provide up-to-date cognitive behavioral treatment in both individual and group formats.

We believe that anxiety disorders are treatable and that no one should have to live with excessive anxiety.

Our Research

At CUTA we also conduct research aimed at understanding the reasons for excessive anxiety. This research may help us design better treatment and prevention programs for a variety of anxiety related problems. This site contains information about CUTA and the programs that we offer, including a number of self-help programs.

If you or someone you know is suffering from anxiety, we may be able to help. Give us a call at (619)229-3740 or e-mail us at sdsu.cuta@gmail.com.
