Introduction

Moment is a software package designed for neurofeedback, online monitoring of data, and general purpose offline analysis of signals, for example EEG. I will describe each of its functions in the following sections but before you can use moment you need to get it and set up some parameters so your system will let you use it.

System Requirements:
If you plan to work with large data, as with most EEG studies, it is best to use a fast computer with plenty of ram (16 gig).

Downloading:
The first step is to download Moment onto your computer.

After you click the button above to download, your computer may ask you if you’d like to save the Moment file. Click Save File and choose downloads (this is the default on most browsers) as the location.

Once the file is saved, go to your Downloads folder and double-click on the file moment.zip. (if you're using chrome, you can open it from your browser). Extract the file to your desktop and you should be ready to go. It is possible that your virus protection software will not recognize moment and decide that it should be blocked. If this happens, follow your virus protection program procedures for making an exception for moment folder on your desktop. As always, do this at your own risk.

Using Moment
Now, you can open Moment.
Go into the Moment folder on your desktop and double-click the file called Moment.exe. Follow the instructions on the login page to learn how to log in to moment and start using it!
